This is the twelfth episode of The New Dawn.
The subject of this weeks discussion is “From The Cradle, To The Grave”. This discusses the subject of education, with our special guest, Shaykh Muhammad Zakariyyah. The nasheed this week is Talal Badru Alayna – which is the welcome nasheed that was sung by the people of Madinah when welcoming Prophet Muhammad(S) to their city at the time of the Hijrah, the audio is by performed by a group of various Muslim youth, with the video by The Digital Martyr
This episode was broadcast on Hidayat TV (Sky Channel 803) on Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at 10pm.
This episode marks the end of Season 1 of The New Dawn. The New Dawn will be back with a Special Episode, featuring a very special guest in the first week of December 2009, insha Allah, as well as with a special feedback show.
Season 2 of The New Dawn will start in the second week of March 2010.

This is the second episode of the first season of The New Dawn.
The subject of this episode is “The Hijab Holocaust”; discussing the issue of racism and hijab in light of the tragic murder of Marwa Sherbini, the Hijab Martyr, with our guest speaker, Shaykh Shabbir R Hassanally. This episode also features the full video of the Nasheed “Ya Amena” by The Vigil, featuring Ahmad Hamadani.
This episode was initially broadcast at 7pm on Tuesday, 4th August 2009 (due to a double booking), and repeated again on the same day (Tuesday, 4th August, 2009) at 10.30pm (it was scheduled for 10pm)

Hidayat TV have advised us that the technical issues that they experienced are now completely resolved. In light of the botched broadcast of the first episode of The New Dawn, Hidayat TV have agreed to rebroadcast the same episode (Season 1 – Episode 1) – in it’s entirity - on Thursday, July 30, 2009 at 12pm (confirmed) and again at 10pm (Confirmed).
We have also been advised that starting from August 1, 2009, the Sky Electronic Program Guide will also feature The New Dawn.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
We appologise for the poor quality of the broadcast on Hidayat TV, this was due to technical difficulties experienced by Hidayat TV and is NOT a reflection on the actual program. Who or What is the Martyr?

An Introduction
This is going to be an on going series of short blog posts, coupled with video-blog entries (via YouTube - as well as elsewhere) discussing concepts and ideas that effect humanity; including events that happen in our world to which we are all witnesses.
We will discuss how these events effect those they are perpetrated on directly as well as as rest of humanity as a whole, because as is well known; every action has a consequence; it may not be an obvious consequence but nevertheless there is a consequence.
As inhabitants of this planet, as trustees of God; we have a responsibility to take the affairs of humanity seriously; to ensure that justice is upheld at all times; and to ensure that corruption, anarchy and mischief-mongering doesn’t go unchecked or unanswered.
The martyr is a witness on society; the Arabic word for martyr – Shaheed – literally means one who witnesses; one who watches; and this is the case in all the divine monotheistic idelogies. The martyr through the shedding of his blood; through working to ensure that Truth and Justice prevail; bears witness to the crimes of humanity; and will testify againt the evil perpetrated by humanity; the injustices whereby innocents are massacred, and pockets are filled, where the rights of people are usurped, and where the guilty are rewarded and classed as “peacemakers”.
Our symbol is that of a great martyr; one who worked selflessly throughout his entire life; until the day he was murdered and attained the lofty position of being a witness against the crimes of humanity by one of the most dangerous and tyrannical entities this world has ever known. But more on this in a later post.
The martyr is both a person and a state of mind; which is why our motto is “The Way of the Digital Martyr, Spreading Light in a Time of Abject Darkness”. The martyr serves two main purposes; we’ve already mentioned the first – as a witness on humanity; the second which is equally important; is that martyr though his self-less actions; sheds light on this tyranny; sheds light on the injustices; and makes the rest of humanity aware of the perils that lie ahead; this is why say that the martyr spreads light in a time of abject darkness.
While in today’s world; humanity claims to live in a very “enlightened” state; the reality is quite the opposite; we have an overload of information; we have an overload of mis-information; we have an overload of dis-information; all are designed to pull humanity in one way or another; to serve one agenda or another. We however; don’t believe that humanity can ever attain perfection through just the persuit of information; rather; humanity has a fundamental requirement to attain wisdom; which is the verification and subsequent application of information; through the lense of that which is the absolute perfection.
Moving on; whats the deal with this “Digital Martyr”? Why “Digital”; why not just Martyr? Well the answer is simple; we live in a digital age; we are surrounded by digital information; by technologies such as Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, Windows Live, Bing, etc, etc, etc; we have clouds of information in cyberspace; and with all this “information”; there is a huge plethora – infact possibly the bulk of the information is noise and dis/mis-information. The Digital Martyr will strive to look at the digital world; which comprises:
- Television broadcasts
- Cinema films
- Radio broadcasts
- Internet broadcasts
- Other blogs and video-blogs
and attempt to sort the wheat from the chaff. The Digital Martyr will attempt to provide sanity amidst the insanity.
Finally, why now? Why create this blog and video blog now? For what purpose? Well we’ll tell you. We’ve noticed that the June 2008 Elections in the Islamic Republic of Iran have created such a burst of dis-information; with a plethora of western “news” outlets spewing the most appalling lies and mis-information; repeating the same footage and claiming it’s something different; and we see that there is a campaign that is directly aimed at the heart of Revolutionary Islamic Thought; we saw this; and we realise the danger that this poses – not just to Islam and Revolutionary Islam; but rather to all the monotheistic faiths; and to all those who are striving for justice and truth; and have yet to find their path to God.
We’ve seen lies that have made our blood boil; we’ve seen manufactured images that have broken our hearts; and we have a burning love for all humanity; as lovers of God; we are helpless that we must also love that which God has created; we can no longer stand by and watch those we love be lied to, be manipulated, be heart-broken, be confused and be led away from truth (while believing that it is the truth). We feel obliged and responsible in the eyes of God; who is a witness unto humanity; and we are compelled to give people the reality of the situation.
We promise; before God (call Him Allah, YHWH, G-d, whatever), that we will always speak the Truth; no matter the price that has to be paid; we will never lead people away from the Truth, and we promise before God, that we will always uphold Justice. Some people may not like what we say; some people may hate us, some people may think we’re deluded, some people may even like and agree with what we say; some people – and this is where we’re talking to the true seekers of truth amongst you - our readers, subscribers and viewers – some people we hope that we will touch their hearts; and will bring them towards that ultimate goal of perfection …
The Way of the Digital Martyr has been opened; we invite everyone to get involved; we invite everyone to comment and debate with us; we invite all to the Ultimate Truth …
